Are You Moving Too Fast... or Too Slow

Welcome to the Letters of Wonder, where I explore insights on wealth, fulfillment, growth, and mastery—sharing lessons and reflections to help you live a life filled with purpose.
Story of the Week:
In a quiet forest, a gardener planted two seeds. One was a fern and the other was bamboo. Every morning, the gardener watered them both. Within a few weeks, the fern sprouted and covered the forest floor in green. The gardener watched it thrive under the sunlight and was very happy to see it grow. And then he turned to look at the bamboo.
But the bamboo was different. It stayed buried underground. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months and months turned into years. Still, there was no sign of growth. The bamboo just sat there doing nothing. Seasons came and went and the gardener started to wonder. Was the bamboo even alive? Had he done something wrong? Or in other words, was the bamboo just a dud?
Yet, the gardener kept watering it every day and waited. Four long years passed, and still nothing. But the gardener didn’t give up. Something inside him was telling him to keep going. Then, finally, on the fifth year, something changed. One fine day, a small shoot poked out of the ground and as the gardener watched in surprise, the bamboo started to grow and grow and reached over 100 feet tall.
You see, all those years, the bamboo was building its roots underground. It was getting ready. When the time came, it grew stronger and taller than everything around it.
It’s easy to get caught up in comparison, but just remember that everyone’s growth happens at their own pace. It’s never too late.
An Idea I’m Trying Out:
Idea: Waking up in the morning and writing down my thoughts immediately. I’ve found that the bridge between sleep and wakefulness is a powerful one.
The Result: I find that my thoughts right upon rising feel so fresh. As I’m writing, the thoughts just flow through. I’ve had a friend describe this to me and now I’m beginning to really feel it. It’s been therapeutic and interesting to get into a deep flow of writing. I probably need to do a better job of following through with the writings though.
A few writings from last week:
The more you give to others, the more you’re giving to yourself because we are all one.
To give importance to others not based off how they appear, but how connected they are to the truth.
One day I will not have my parents. One day I will not have my youth. One day I will not have my body. One day I may not have anything. Who am I?
Quote of the Week:

If you truly want to make something happen and work towards it, things will align.
Question for you:
In what areas of your life have you found that slowing down has actually brought you more success or happiness? Are there moments where you wish you had slowed down or sped up?
Hit reply and let me know—I’d love to hear your thoughts and learn from your experiences.
Thanks for reading!
