If You Are Lazy, Then Start Building Systems

Welcome to Letters of Wonder — a space to explore the truths behind clarity, creation, and what it means to live a truly wonderful life.
This Week’s Learning:
Story: I’ve always struggled with traveling or just getting out of the house. It probably has something to do with being a stickler for my routine. For the longest time, I just didn’t understand how I could travel and still stick to my schedule. This kept me delaying trips or pushing off travel. I’m still working on it, but I think I’ve finally learned a thing or two about staying on schedule while traveling.
Insight: I figured out that I just need my non-negotiables (if you’re reading this, thanks Sahil). In the past, I used to “take a break” from them and realized my fulfillment/happiness levels were much lower. So as long as I meditate, have protein + a gym, and bring my journal, I’m good to travel anywhere.
An Idea I’m Trying Out:
Idea: I’ve been trying to create as many systems as possible. One thing I’ve been thinking is, how do I create a system around this goal to create a habit?
Quick plug: Atomic Habits is a phenomenal book
The Result: Something fun this week has been creating a system for helping my mom learn more English. Instead of just correcting her English as I usually do, we built a fun game around this. Every day, we watch an English moral story together (might as well learn more than English) and she gives a speech on it and writes about it. We then review and it helps her improve her storytelling and writing abilities. This is not only fun for us, but is a great system that helps her improve her English. The mother-son bonding has been better than ever as a result of it.
Shoutout my handy friend GPT for putting together a sick document
